The Explanation And Development Of Acoustic Exegetics In Shuowen By Duanyucai

ShuoWenJieZi (It will be briefly named ShuoWen in the following)is the first dictionary of China ,and it is the original of Chinese-character Linguistic. Acoustic exegetics,a way of explaination, has been used frequently in the process of explanation in ShuoWen ,but it had never attracted much attention until Duan Yucai explained it. Xu Shen's thought of acoustic exegetics was explained and developed by Duan Yucai in his ShuoWenJieZiZhu. The thesis concludes the forms of acoustic exegetics of ShuoWen: obvious acoustic exegetics and recessive acoustic exegetics. It analyses emphatically Duan Yucai's explanation of Xu Shen's ShuoWen and exposedness. He requires hoary meaning through hoary pronunciation, and develop the theory of researching meaning by normal tone.The whole thesis is made up of four parts.1,analyze acoustic exegetics in ShuoWen .2,analyze Duan Yucai's explanation of acoustic exegetics in Shuo Wen and divide it into five parts .3,discuss the development of Duan Yucai's explanation about Xu Shen's theory of acoustic exegetics .4,compare Duan Yucai's thought and Xu Shen's theory, the theory of right-part character ,and clarify the contribution of Du Yucai's explanation to traditional hermeneutic.
