A Tentative Probe Into Performance The In Henan Dapingdiao Opera

The present paper makes a preliminary probe into the four aspects of Henan Even Major: origin and evolution,artistic singing features,singing styles and body acting features. It consists of four parts besides the preface and the conclusion.Part I The original formation and development.The historical origin is verified from investicatable essays and musical analysis.In this chapter,the writer makes analytical comparisons by coordinating relative historical written materials opera music and manages to kprove clearly:Henan Even Major is a local opera which entered the northern part of Henan from Shanxi East Qin Opera (Tongzhou Bangzi) at the end of Ming Dynasty and the beginning of the Qing Dynasty,and gradually came into being by absorbing local folk song tunes,country accents and slangs. The unique cultural heritages of northern Henan province has foistered its unique artistic styles which has passed down with changes till today.Part II assorts carefully singing structures and characteristics and boils down to "four singing formulae","passing music" and "beating music" and gives exemplifications respectively.Part III studies the singing styles and the development of singing.Part IV describes in detail the body acting features and stage effects of Henan Even Major.
