In this article the author explore the evolution of the Chinese comparative construction , drawing examples from classic Chinese to support the points. There are two paths to solve the problem. The first path is to solve how to change the verb"bi"into the preposition"bi"in Chinese .The other path is to solve how to make an adjective sentence cause evolution. To sum up, the two paths converge at last. That is to say, the affirmative bi sentence"(X)bi YW(A+/V+)"in modern Chinese occur after about two thousand years'evolution. The author also try to illustrate how a structure and its function interacted and caused a change in the syntactic structure.
