At present, researches into piano skills are catching on like fire through the higher normal schools, about which many constructive suggestions appear. The research ability of the students have been thought the center of postgraduate education, which has been ignored during undergraduate education all the time.It's found in the sustained development theory that the form of piano teaching is the piano skills and the research ability, the content. It's certainly impossible to develop students'comprehensive ability in lack of either the form or the content.In order to improve the quality of piano teaching in higher normal schools, the curriculum guidance program released by the Ministry of Education in 2007 not only readjusted regular college education but also made a new program on training goals and teaching content.It's expected that the research can help develop normal piano education in universities and provide necessary help for the development of students'comprehensive ability and quality.There are five parts: Introduction and Chapter One: a brief account of piano teaching in higher normal schools in sustained development theory. Chapter Two: analysis of students'comprehensive ability in higher normal schools and analysis of the 2007 piano teaching guidance outline for piano education. Chapter Three: suggestions and conclusions about piano teaching in higher normal school.
