It is basically accepted in contemporary Western academic circles that Wittgenstein's philosophy still is an important topic. And furthermore, Wittgenstein's later philosophical ideas are the theoretical foundation of some of the newly developed philosophy.This paper has introduced Ludwig Wittgenstein's main ideas on his later philosophy. By relating them with the theories and method of the newly developed philosophy, the writer has tried to examine the influence of Wittgenstein on the later philosophers. Here, the writer starts with the theory "Language Games" that Wittgenstein advanced and the mode of thinking which returns to the real world, then combines some important propositions--language games, personal language and following rules, which are representative of Wittgenstein's later philosophy, into discussion. From the paper, we can see that Wittgenstein observes and studies language phenomena carefully in daily life. By doing that, he thinks that his task is (through language criticism) to eliminate the mistakes of metaphysics and the confusing roots it caused; the key to it is to clear up spurious questions that arose by traditional life and thinking, and changed our way of thinking, our consciousness and our lifestyle. Wittgenstein believes that only by changing our lifestyle and culture can we truly view things from a whole new perspective. Wittgenstein's philosophy aims at leading us to look at the world in a brand new way; his theory is closely linked with the present complex mode of thinking and also has multi-faceted influences on contemporary philosophers as well as their theories. Thus the wither analyses how Wittgenstein's later viewpoint of language shows and carries out specifically through them.The thesis consists of five parts: the first part is introduction, which expounds the cause of issue selection, and this study's significance, basic thought and means. The second part is a background analysis of the evolution of Wittgenstein's philosophical thinking. Though analyze Wittgenstein's road to philosophy and clarifies his turn of thought, can help us understand and grasp the origin and development of his thought in whole. The third part is to analyze the main ideas in Wittgenstein's later philosophy, and to clarify some main conception in it, include introduce and analyses the Language Games and conception of the forms of Life, pointed out it is one kind language present and growth in ours life world; Introduce and analyses Following Rules theory and Wittgenstein's discussion on private language, pointed out Wittgenstein's theory contents practice view and the topic of Wittgenstein's argument of anti-private language--end of Egotism; Introduce Wittgenstein's later theory about language, world and sense, pointed out Wittgenstein's inquiring to the Complexity. From that we can understand and grasp the ideological essence and complex thinking in Wittgenstein's later philosophy. The fourth part is to analyze the value in Wittgenstein's later philosophy, and pointed out the significance and impact of his later philosophy, including theoretical contribution to Logic Philosophy, the school of Ordinary Language analysis, Ethnics, Aesthetic, present western Scientific Philosophy and Postmodernism, and the last is some ideas and inspiration writer got from Wittgenstein's later philosophy. Epilog, the fifth part, educes some issues for us to make lasting and hardworking study on Wittgenstein's later philosophy, for the study is complicated and hard.The article has used literature law, comparison test, and history research technique and so on . By the elaborations of the questions above, this paper has tried to get a further understanding and a better grasp of Wittgenstein's later philosophical ideas as well as some enlightenment.
