Contemporary Development And Cultural Value Of Folk Songs

The folk songs are one of the most ancient racial arts, containing abundant racial cultural content and ethos in them. With the development of globalization and modernization, folk songs and their culture are faced with transformation from traditional to modernization. As a new form ofracial arts for contemporary development, Nanning International Folk Songs Arts Festival has been subjected to the concern of aesthetic anthropology researchers. From the perspective of aesthetic anthropology and through Nanning International Folk Songs Arts Festival, this paper wants to discuss how the folk song arts, a pre-industrial era product, survive and develop in modern times. Through "thick description" and "comparison" with its cultural change, we make a relatively complete and profound analysis on the cultural rules and cultural value and significance of racial arts development.The thesis is consisted of three main parts.Chapter 1: We discuss Nanning International Folk Songs Arts Festival from the perspective of Aesthetic Anthropology and elaborate on the formation mechanism of Nanning Folkloric Song Festival by way of "thick description" borrowed from cultural anthropology.
