The Study Of Variant Forms Of The Same Word In Modern Chinese Dictionary

The thesis sets variant forms of the same word in the 2005 edition of the "Modern Chinese Dictionary" (MCD) as research object. By the defining the connotation of variant forms of the same word and confirming the scope ,principia and methods to the study, a classification for total variant forms in the 2005 edition of the MCD is firstly made. Then the paper analysis different kinds of variant forms of the same word illustrating the reasons, features and methods of dealing with the variant forms of the same word.
