The combination of the enlarged and small vocal music class in music education major is the only way of vocal music educational reform in Normal College. Using the theory of multivariant intelligence, the theory of constructivism as well as Gestalt theory, this paper carries out demonstration on the feasibility and superiority of opening the collective class at the compulsory stage of vocal music teaching in Normal College. It also analyzes the causes why the teaching quality of collective vocal music class couldn't be ensured in the process of putting it into practice while reforming at present. This paper also points out that the teachers must change their experience-related and feeling-related theories to make the collective vocal music teaching scientifical, rationalize and normalize while practicing it. Meanwhile it expatiates that the three principle of being pedagogic, highly-qualified and highly-efficient should be emphasized while carrying out the vocal music educational reform. Drawing a lesson from the "shouting" practicing form in which one practice his or her voice like a singer in Beijing opera, the paper introduces some ways to capture the difficulty about how to standardize the practice of vocal music because there appears the "unclear" vocal while practicing together in collective class teaching;The collective class teaching approach is also being probed in this paper. It suggests that the teaching approach of collective vocal music class in Normal College should include basic theory teaching, the collective practice of vocal music("shouting" practice without accompaniment, musical scale exercise with accompaniment), song exercise, performance as well as open comments on the four links. And it has carried out explanations respectively at the same time. Generally speaking, this paper is to probe into the ways about how to fulfill the real unity of the quality and the efficiency of vocal music teaching in Normal College from different angles.
