The exploration on human's spiritual realm is a key chacacteristic of WeijinMetaphysics. That the exploration starts from Wang Bi's quest for the spiritualrealm of sage as a ruler in Zhenshi Metaphysics period after Ruan Ji and JiKang's quest for Confucian intellectual's spiritual realm in Zhulin Metaphysicsand Guo Xiang incorporated the two quest into one in Xijin Metaphysicssymbolizes the final completion on human's spiritual realm of WeijinMetaphysics. This paper takes the development of Weijin Metaphysics assequence, discussing successively Wang Bi, Ruan ji, Ji Kang and Guo Xiang'srelevant thought about spiritual realm, and among it also implies a clue that thephilosophical topic transfers from politics to life. This paper wages itsdissertation mainly from the following five parts:Partâ… : Weijin Metaphysics and spiritual realm. This part has first given aconcise explanation to the spiritual realm, then analyzed and elaborated thereason for Weijin Metaphysics to highlight human's spiritual realm in theChinese philosophy history.Partâ…¡: The spiritual realm of Wang Bi's "dominating with intangiblenessand vacancy". Starting from the philosophical premise of "taking wu(non-being)as the basic principle",Wang Bi believes that the sage as a rulershould be "uniting with Dao as a whole"and "dealing with things but notdisturbed by them".Wang Bi's design to "ideal sage personality" suggests thatwhat he pays attention to is still political issues.Partâ…¢: The spiritual realm of Ruan Ji and Ji Kang's "transcending normand giving free rein to mind". The great tribulation in those days forces Ruan Jiand Ji Kang to oppose Mingjiao against Nature and leads them to the pursuit ofspiritual freedom, and what Ruan Ji seeks for is a kind of spiritual "Nowhere" that has lost all contact with reality and demand the spiritually absolutefreedom, yet Ji Kang seeks for a spiritual enrichment based on naturallysensuous life. However, Ruan Ji and Ji Kang all can't get away from reality butsink into pang and anxietiy spiritually. Ruan Ji and Ji Kang bath transform thesubject of Weijin Metaphysics from political issues into life ones.Partâ…£: Guo Xiang's "state of Xuangming". World creations are allindependently exist and develop yet need not get help from something else, whichis called "self-alteration", and the foundation of "self-alteration" is the respective"inner nature". The fundamental proposition of "world creations self-alterate inthe state of Xuanming"suggests that everyone in society should "comfortshimself in his inner nattire". The "state of Xuanming" not only refers to a wholeharmony of country and society but also to the spiritual realm of individuals. Thephilosophy of Guo Xiang is the unification of political philosophy and lifephilosophy.Partâ…¤: The meanings of the spiritual realm of Weijin Metaphysics. This partmainly discourse the meanings of Weijin Metaphysics in Chinese philosophyhistory and Chinese culture history, and point out that it is the exploration onhuman's spiritual realm by Weijin Metaphysics that plays a significant role onChinese philosophy and Chinese culture in transforming from extrowertedness tointrovertedness and on shaping the personality of Chinese Confucianintellectuals.
