Aesthetic Effects Embodied In Materials

Materials have been undergoing great changes with each passing day with the advance of science and technology, and reshape constantly our conception of fine arts. Artists'selection and application of notions of materials in comprehensive painting reflect directly such kind of influences. Materials are now being regarded as not only one of the media of artistic expression, but also language of art. With changes in notions of materials from exterior forms to interior implications, the expressive force of materials as language of art has beening disclosed, brought out, emphasized and materialized. Meanwhile, language of art receives a new lease of life in the release and expression of creative force in nature of materials.This paper studies and illustrates the aesthetic effects and significance of materials through analyses of aesthetic value in texture of materials in comprehensive painting. Conceptions of fine arts updating with the times, development and exploitation of new materials in comprehensive painting has attracted wide attention. The combination of materials with skills can surely express artists'emotions and realize fully the aesthetic value in texture of materials. Studies on aesthetic effects emboided in materials, which are realized through the utilization of multiple skills, may broaden ways of art creation, enrich the expressive force of works of art and their appeal to people.This paper also investigates aesthetic value embodied in materials through innovative application of materials in comprehensive painting. The present innovation in fine arts is to establish ferm foundation and provide with valuable references and precious wealth for tomorrow's"tradition". The new superseding the old is the law of development and change of things, also the law of development of fine arts. Without innovation, there would be no development; therefore, no existence of fine arts.This paper sums up four techniques through investigation of application of materials by artists domestic and abroad in comprehensive painting, which is helpful to practitioners in this field. Combination of multiple materials with skills expresses rich and extreme visual effects in comprehensive painting. Consequently, application of material-based techniques evolves in its practice in comprehensive painting, explors and enriches language of arts.Through investigation of selection and application of materials to manifest different themes in comprehensive painting, this paper further stresses the role of materials in comprehensive painting and the bold and rational selection and application of appropriate materials to highlight the expressive force and aesthetic effects embodied in materials, and thus to achieve the unity of conceptions and forms of fine arts.
