Documentaries, which are developing up to today, have al ready gone through thecourse of history for over 100 years since the first documentary came out. Althoughstarting of Chinese documentaries is later than western' s, the Chinese documentarieshave been flourishing at an unprecedented speed in last 20 years of 20th centuryHowever, the research of documentaries in China, almost all confined to thedocumentary theory research and creative research. In China, documentaries and culturalbackground research can be said to be a blank. As for Western culture and even moreimpossible to Western documentaries and cultural links up to a visit According to theinformation available, a documentary study cultural differences between Chinese andWestern papers are extremely rare, I can see that several articles. The rest of theresearch in this area is scattered among various scholars discussed the documentary,not a completely system.In this paper, beginning with documentaries and cultural studies.
