Research On Therapeutic Cloning In Ethics

With the quick development of the life science, the cloning technology comes to fruition. With it the therapeutic cloning has increasingly attracted universal attention. Such governments as America, Germany definitely object to the research on any form of human cloning worldwidely, while China and British governments support human therapeutic cloning. Is the therapeutic cloning meaningful? Should the therapeutic cloning be studied or not? If should, what's the reason? This is the key this thesis tries to discuss.This thesis tries to do the moral value evaluation from perspective of teleology, deontology, axiology, virtue and commonweal. The therapeutic cloning can promote the human survival quality and fulfill human life value from perspective of the value, the research on which reflects the most advanced theory contemporarily, that's the life value. According to the virtue ethics, the therapeutic cloning embodies the human being's pursuing and innovating the beauty, which is the perfect embodiment of human being's virtue. From the perspective of public benefit, the therapeutic cloning may perfect the human health quality and be beneficial for the whole and long-term interest of mankind, the research on which is suited to social commonwealth. Above all, the therapeutic cloning is of positive value and should be fully supported in ethics. Such principles should be followed as heal the wounded and rescue the dying, doing no hurt, respect and independence in the research process of the therapeutic cloning, which can make mankind benefit from the therapeutic cloning.
