Human embryonic stem cell, referring to the original cells not split up, have the potentialities of renewing, proliferating and breaking up themselves into a variety of tissues and organs. Their greatest value can be reflected in the medical field. Researchers separate and split cells in a definite direction so as to form healthy tissues, a substitute for the pathological ones for the purpose of curing diseases. With the advancement of life science and the application of biographical technology in the 21st century, the study of human embryonic stem cell has increasingly been a both hot and advanced issue in the field of biographical medicine at home and abroad. It, from which a debate on ethic and morality has sprung up for its relating to the actual use of human embryos, not only displays a bright future but brings about kinds of ethic puzzles to mankind. Moreover, it touches on such intricate issues as whether the biographical techniques and their applied study can give rise to some unfathomable and even catastrophic ethic issues, thus attracting more and more attention. Accordingly arguments over ethic in the study of human embryonic stem cell become the most unprecedented subject. To push forward the study in a sound direction, this article, to begin with the understanding of the studying object, means and significance, attempts to analyze the heated ethic issues and the necessity to heighten the ethic arguments and to explore such problems as the moral roles of human embryos, the focal ethic problems and the ethic principles to comply with. The article mainly elucidates that the development of life science can be exhilarating and exasperating as well in the 21st century, in which human civilization centering on science and technology, expands in depth. We applaud the new breakthroughs in life science, which, however, we should fully take for consideration the negative effects most probably from. Currently, it is urgent how we prevent the new achievements representative of human embryonic stem cell from being misused and abused and how we direct them to do their utmost to benefit rather than cause damage to or even ruin mankind.
