the normalization of Chinese is closely related to teaching Chinese as a foreign language, we have to make our Chinese more standardized so that it can be accepted all over the world. The task of normalizing Chinese and the current situation of it are both connected with teaching Chinese as a foreign language. macroscopically speaking, the normalization of a language is not only an essential part of language design, but the necessity of social development, in particular, in our country in which there exist a variety of dialects and the basic education is gaining predominance, we have to widely promote mandarin, and standardize our written language, or there may be difficulties in communicating in different fields of our society. The normalization of l language is not only a demand to develop the economies in communicating in different fields of our society. The normalization of a language is not only a demand to develop the economics and the culture , to maintain and strengthen the unification of our nation, but also a requirement for those who learn it as a foreign language. With the rapid development of our economics and the great improvement of our international status, china is enlarging its communication and cooperation with other countries in politics, economics, technology education. And culture ets, therefore, Chinese is gaining a higher international position, at the same time, there appears a"Chinese fever"----a climax of learning Chinese by the people all over the world called by the media, thus, teaching Chinese as a foreign language has developed into a specific subject. However, as a newly-emerging subject, there still exist some non-standard phenomena in the current teaching Chinese as a foreign language and the compilation of the textbooks that deserve enough attention. The normalization of Chinese should thread through every part of the teaching, and the teachers who are engaged in this field should strictly follow the rules and standards set in the norms of the national language and character, continuously improve the teaching quality. In this thesis, I am going to describe the guiding function of the norms of Chinese in teaching Chinese as a foreign language, in particular, illustrate the non-standard phenomena in teaching, learning and textbook-compilating, have a further analysis of them, and then point out the prevailing tendencies. A aim to complete these tasks by using cognitive grammar, the theories on functional grammar and the reaching fruit on the normalization of Chinese based on the theoretical linguistics and the theories in social linguistics. From the perspective of language design , and all these will be a great help to teaching Chinese as a foreign language, what's more, they will as well prove the practical value of this thesis.
