The author will analyze the formation of this aesthetics in which the influence of his family background, times, Japanese outlook on life and death and literature world will be stressed. From the analysis, the author proposes that the beauty of death is the acme of Misima Yokio's aesthetic world.Firstly, the author introduces Misima Yokio's life story in which more part is placed on his"isolated"childhood and his nature upside down and his yearning fro death resulting from the indulgence in illusion. In this part, the author will analyze the formation of his original aesthetics and his idea on"death". Then through the comments on his works and himself, the author analyzes the influence of times on him. Before, during and after the war, the experience when Misima himself was faced with and fled away from death brought him confusion, hesitation and gloom. And meantime the unsteady war environment made his Doomsday outlook formed. Death became an unwavering shadow and also a part of routine life. The beauty of loneliness when people face up to fate and death is shown here. From the above, this thesis further analyses such literary and cultural factors as aestheticism, Japanese romanticism, traditional outlook on life and death and samurai culture, etc. that influenced the formation of his aesthetic notion. Inheriting the solemn and stirring spirits of betting on death in a virtuous sense which is the spirits of Japanese bushido in the middle ages and obtaining the Japanese Classic state of being moody and sensitive from the aesthetic disposition of death, Misima built up his ideal literary world and meanwhile showed that death was the starting point of birth. Thus the point of this thesis is derived here: the beauty of death is the acme of Misima Yokio's aesthetic world. This thesis, based on the domestic and foreign researches on Misima, mainly discusses the forming factors that stimulate the beauty of death in Misima's aesthetic world.
