Passing On And Innovation: Study On Chunqin Of Huizhou Scholars

The academic banckground of Huizhou scholars includes three aspects. First, it is Zhuzi's study of Chunqiu. His attention to Gongyang, Guliang and Zuozhuan and the objective criticism of seniors influnced greatly on the later. Second, it is the contradion of study on Chunqiu of Huizhou scholars. Chunqiu is one of the attentive classics. The Huizhou scholars focus on study of Chunqiu. Third is the academic status of Chunqiu in the history of Jing study.It can be divided into two obvious stages of study on Chunqiu of Huizhou scholars after Zhuxi. During Song and Ming Dynasties, the Huizhou scholars obeyed Zhuzi's theories and methods. They focused on study of Chunqiu and proposed their new theories through absorbing seniors. Their theories and perspectives influnced greatly upon the later Huizhou scholars.After Han study revived, the study on Cunqiu of Huizhou scholars changed greatly. Their studies appeared more concrete and they paid attention to exegesis and research of objects and systems.
