George·Sarton was a famous specialist in the field of the history of science in the world. The contents of his science view is very abundant, Among which his new humanism idea is the most well-known in the world.Sarton's science view has extensive theory origin. Hegel's entirety view claims that the whole natural world is a entirety, which is organic and evolutionary. Hegel has a great influence on Sarton's unified thought, and August·Comte's entirety thought and positivism thought are one of the main theory origin of Sarton's science view too.Sarton's science view mainly contain four parts, which were he usually emphasized:(1)unified thought;(2) the human nature of science;(3) Eastern thought's huge value;(4) extremely demand in lenition and humanheartedness. In these four leading thought, unified thought is the most essential and the most important.Sarton had a great influence on the establishment and development of the Sociology of Science, and Sarton's science view had a great influence on the overall development of today's science and society and progress of man too. The view of the human nature of science give us a valuable visual angle to help us comprehensively understand science's essence and evade negative effect of science. However, Sarton's science view had a proper defect too. He payed more attention to Eastern thought's huge value. he excessively dicussed Egypt civilization and Mesopotamia civilization and later Arab civilization, but seldom described civilization in China. In addition, Sarton argued that the way of the humanization of science or integration between science and humanities is the History of Science, but he didn't give further demonstration on how to carry out this great goal by means of History of Science.
