On Technology Pessimism

While bringing the innumerable achievements of civilized progress to people, technology brings all sorts of negative effects to mankind inevitably either. Technology is "turning into a global power, it begins to influence the roots of human history, and it brings extremely unstable factors to human history". Under this situation, humanism scholar, philosopher, ecologist and even ordinary masses have all pondered over technology. Does technology itself contain value on earth? What does it have to do with technology and ecological environment? What is the essence of technology? Is technology a force with independence?
