The study is to inquire into the situation of mental stress, social support and learning burnout in undergraduate students of present age, and the relationships of mental stress and social support with the leaming burnout. The study began with a half-structural interview in 20 undergraduates. According the results of interview, the sources of stress and learning burnout in undergraduate students were summarized, and stress source questionnaire, stress experience questionnaire, social support questionnaire and learning burnout questionnaire for undergraduate students were applied to study the situations and relationships. Undergraduate students from 6 universities in Hangzhou were invited to attend the investigations. 316 questionnaires were sent and 307 valid questionnaires were received. The questionnaires were statistically analyzed and the following results were concluded:1,The stress source in undergraduate students are mainly from the following five aspects: studying for courses, interpersonal relationships, employment, loving and economic situation.2,In general, the levels of stress source, stress experience and learning burnout are lower than the mean.3,The relationships among stress source, stress experience, social support and learning burnout in undergraduate students:(1),The correlation between stress source and stress experience is significant. The stress source demonstrate very great regression effects on the stress experiences.(2),The correlation between stress experience and learning burnout is significant. The physiology experience demonstrates very big regression effects on learning burnout.(3),The negative correlation between social support and stress experience is significant. The subjective support demonstrates very big regression effects on the stress experiences.(4),The negative correlation between social support and learning burnout is significant. The objective support and the utilization of support demonstrate big regression effects on learning burnout, and the subjective support demonstrates very big regression effects.4,The buffer action of social support between the stress experience and learning burnout plays between the stress for study, employment, economy and psychological experience.5,The buffer action of social support between the stress experience and learning burnout plays between emotional experience, psychological experience and emotional exhaustion.
