In the past two decades job stress has become the focus of many studies.In recent years,job burnout as the unique symptoms of job stress has become one of the main topics of discussion in the human resources meeting.The so-called burnout is a phenomenon with emotional exhaustion,feelings of alienation and diminished personal accomplishment,including emotional exhaustion,cynicism and professional inefficacy three dimensions.For decades,Western psychologists and scientists have made a wide-range and in-depth research about job burnout,attained a lot of achievements which has become the guidance of Human resources management.In recent years,Chinese scholars have begun to introduce burnout theory to China.But the main subjects of burnout research are still limited to helping professions,Variables in the study are also limited to job stress,job satisfaction, and neglecting individual attributes,such as personality traits and social support,a few productions have been obtained so far.It is the background in which this study has been carried into execution.This study was to explore the relationship between job satisfaction,job stress,personality traits,social support and job burnout,to achieve the following aims:first,to learn the job burnout levels of employees;Second,to explore the impact of different demographic variables on employees burnout levels;Third, to explore the relationship between the job satisfaction and job burnout of employees;Fourth,to explore the relationship between job stress and job burnout of employees;Fifth, to explore the relationship between the LOC and job burnout of employees;Sixth,to explore the relationship between social support and job burnout of employees;Seventh,to explore the effect that job satisfactionjob stress,personality traits,social support has on job burnout of employees. This study used survey methods to investigate employees in Qufu City.A total of 800 questionnaires were delivered,with 715 copies of questionnaires returned from the recipients.The response rate is 89.4%.After rejected invalid questionnaires,there were 640 valid questionnaires ,so the valid response rate is 80%.In this study, the survey responses were analyzed by the SPSS13.0 statistical software package for cronbach a reliability analysis,mean,standard deviation, the independent samples t-test, one-way ANOVA,Pearson correlation and regression analysis.The findings and conclusions were as follows:(1)Employees possess moderate levels of job burnout, but to pay attention that the emotional exhaustion is serious;(2)Demographic variables have different impact on job burnout of employees;(3)There is a significant negative correlation between job satisfaction and job burnout of employees;(4)There is a significant positive correlation between job stress and job burnout of employees;(5)There is a significant negative correlation between LOC and job burnout of employees;(6)There is a significant negative correlation between job satisfaction and job burnout of employees;(7)Job satisfaction, job stress, LOC, social support have an significant influence on job burnout of employees.
