With the fast development of the science technology and economic in the modern society, It needs the higher requirement to educate the creavity and the development of the technology talent. It has been the strategic matter to educate lots of the out standing, quick minded and creative thought for the country's society and economy. Education is the origin of the talents. As the cradle of the teacher and the mother of the educational work, how to educate the talents with high quality and creavity who are suitable for the technology, the direction of the developing culture and the reform of the basic education at the edge of the century must be the important task for the higher education.As the one of the most important role of the music teaching methods in the area of the music education in the 20th century, Orff music methods has been brought into our country for 20 years. Many music educators have done lots of the theoretic study and practice for its spread and development in order to make us have the deep understanding and cognition about it overseas. This method stressed on practicing the creavity of the students, its heart is improvisation and the students educated by this method are the ones the society need indeed. So, this music method in advanced normal university has special meaning for practice and future. This paper adopts the material analyzing method, interviewing and talking method, document studying method and viewing method which would do a lot of the thorough analysis and demonstration for the feasibility study of Orff music teaching method. This paper is divided into 4 parts:The first part is the general introduction of Orff music teaching method. The second is the important effect of this method for developing student's creative thought. The third part analyses some teaching methods used in class recently. It concludes that we should combine kinds of teaching methods, and infiltrate the Inner Mongolia music and the different content of every kind subject into Orll teaching method in order to make students learn by heart easily. The last part is for references which are two lessons in detail.Based on the 4 parts, the writer suggests that the Orff music teaching method should be used in advanced normal university, for the teachers educated by advanced normal university which is the cradle of teachers must suit the need of the society, thus the teachers can find their own place and embody their value in the society.
