The Study On The Secular Characters Of Dunhuang Altar Sutra Hand-written Copy

Dunhuang altar sutra hand-written copies are credibility, contents integrity and the secular characters are numerous, They are first-hand material to study the late-Tang dynasty secular character. The systemic study to the secular characters of Dunhuang altar sutra hand-written copy is absent now. The thesis tries to make a full-scale study in the following chapter.After an introduction of the general situation ,purpose, mission and study method of the secular characters of Dunhuang altar sutra in the preface, we classify the initials and finals of the substitutional characters. On the chapter 3 we take a statistic and analysis of the writing symbols in altar sutra. The next chapter we classify the secular characters of Dunhuang altar sutra into 27kinds and give some exemples .On the chapter 5 and 6 we analyze the characterisitics and origin of secular characters of Dunhuang altar sutra. The chapter 7 we take a supplement to the Dun Huang secular character dictionary. Finally,we carry on a complementarity proof-read on the altar sutra .In short,the thesis is an attempt to make full-scale study on an intact system of secular character.
