On The Development Of Confucianism Regionalization

Xiuning Confucianism, appearing in the area of Xiuning, Huizhou, is a regional school practiced by local scholars. Xiuning is under the direct control of Huizhou, therefore, Xiuning Confucianism is an important part of Xin'an Lixue. It possesses not only general academic features in the area of Huizhou, but also its own unique spiritual distinctions. The paper mainly comprises four parts:Firstly, the writer organizes the four stages of development of Xiuning Confucianism, and reaches a conclusion that Xiuning Confucianism follows an academic development way beginning in Dynasty of South Song, carried on in Dynasty of Yuan, flourishing in Dynasty of Ming and declining in Dynasty of Qing .Secongdly, the writer puts emphasis on the analysis of regional distinctions of the development of Xiuning Confucianism which is different from the development of Confucianism in the other areas. Firstly, Xiuning has the independence of development way; secondly, Instruction thought of Xiuning are based on extolling Zhuxi's theory; Then the third is Xiuning have the diversity of inheritance method; last, it is the interaction of multi-elements.Thirdly, through the transmissional methods of Xiuning Confucianism, the writer explores its process and result of influences on Confucianism in the other areas.At last, Based on abundant historical events, the writer expounds and proves the comprehensive status of Xiuning Confucianism in Xin'an Lixue ever in the development history of whole traditional Chinese Confucianism.Xiuning Confucianism experiences the development in four dynasties of Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing, and lots of Confucianists are emerging in this phase, who leaves amounts of Confucianism works. Xiuning is the typical county in the development of Confuncianist Regionalization. In order to reveals the development picture of Xiuning Confucianism, the writer adds three appendices in the end of the paper to provide references for readers.
