Research On Words And Dialectal Speeches Of Xinxiang

Dialect is one part and variant of Chinese language, which is the result of differentiation. If we want to grasp the language, we should first research dialect. Study on dialects can not only help us to master ancient Chinese language and Putonghua ---generally accepted language of Chinese peoples, and know some history and Chinese culture, but also help us to know politics, economics, society, religion, ideas, mental features of the dialect district, which is of value for us to research history of culture, folklore, history of nations, philology, archaeology.Xinxiang's dialect belongs to Henan sub-dialect of northern dialects, because Xinxiang lies at the north of Yellow River, it is grouped to North Henan Dialect Area. Through the study on words and speeches of Xinxiang dialect, this article will further help know multiplicity and complexity of Henan dialects, and promote the research on north Henan dialects and fill up the blank to the study on Xinxiang dialect area. This study will help know the difference between Xinxiang dialect and Putonghua so that people in Xinxiang can learn Putonghua better through the correction and comparison of words and speeches between them.This article is made up of three parts. The first part briefly talks about the situation of population and geography, and introduces the inner differences of Xinxiang dialect. The second part describes the speech system, tones collaboration, rules of phonetic change and phonetic feature on basis of phonetic material; and further compares Xinxiang phonetic system with Beijing phonetic system in order to make people know the differences quickly. The third part focuses on the word system of Xinxiang dialect, analyzes its word formation and enumerates some special words which give prominence to Xinxiang dialectal words.
