"Qing Suo Gao Yi" is a most important series of novels'written by Liu Fu who lived in Bei Song Dynasty.Because the material of the writer is shortage and there is little passages written himself in the book,the life experiences of the writer is unknown now.Besides this book,he has written and that is valuable in the science of document and literature.He lived in a period that the struggle between the parties is intent,three religions gratually integrated,and the atmasphere of the science of history was dense.His purport of "Gao Yi",which maintained the concept of the system of enfeoffment, made the novels in this book contain a sence of simple and unsophisticated and deliver a sermon. About the subject matter,there are three styles of the novels in the book. The first one is novels about gods and ghosts. It is written in many aspects about religions, such as helping the rituous people punishing the bad person in Buddhism, the spirits and the shortcut of being a celestial being in Taoism,the marrow of gods and ghosts in the religion in ancient time. The second is legend novels. The writter analysed it from love,history and travel experiences.The love in the novel is various.It involves love between human beings,human beings and ghosts,human beings and celestial beings,human beings and monsters which makes the reader get a feeling of heavy and constrained and short for the beauty of the love in the legend novels in Tang Dynasty.The third one is about notes.Most of the narration about the ministers and political works are the replenishment of the historical datas.They are less valuable in the culture.The artistic charateristic of the book is written from four angles.They are the secularization of the content of the novel,the popularization of the language style,the standardization of the title and sub-title,the causality of the logic of the narration.No matter which,we can come to the conclusion that the book plays an important role in the novels history.It is not only the bridge of the legend novel and the strail novel,but also an important step of the development from classical Chinese novels to popularization novels.Its influence is analysed from two angles,one is its theory direction on the comments toward the novels offspring,the other one is the precious deposits of drawing materials on the science of literature.
