The Importance Of Tradition Cultural Spirit Of Confucianism And Taoism, In Modern Ecological Landscape Design

In current time, there are some crises in the fields of environmental landscape design, for lack of ecology consideration in design idea: robbing of environment crazily. National history culture and regional characteristic are ignored. Some design works are none of distinguishing features, or following the West without deliberation. Firstly, the origins of crises are analyzed in this thesis, i.e. the limitation of traditional philosophy thought. The studies on Tradition cultural spirit of Confucianism and Taoism in the East are achieved. Lastly, by the design of project about North Lake Park in Chengdu, the ecology idea based on Tradition cultural spirit of Confucianism and Taoism, used in practical design, is further discussed.The main works of this thesis are as follows:As "the whole art", the dualism of environmental landscape design, i.e. unifications of matter body and culture core, is clarified. Corresponding with the dualism, the dualism of landscape ecology, including natural and culture ecologies, is investigated. Two ecology crises, i.e. natural and culture crises, are concluded. The origins of crises are analyzed, i.e. the limitation of traditional philosophy thought: it is something wrong about how to treat with the relationship between human being and natural or individual and people.Modern ecology idea based on tradition cultural spirit of Confucianism and Taoism in our country is interpreted. The natural and culture notions incarnating cultural spirit of Confucianism and Taoism are analyzed, pursuing freedom of soul and the idea of "Unifications of Human Being and Nature " in landscape design are pointed, tradition cultural spirit of Confucianism and Taoism needs to come back in modern ecology landscape design. Based on the theory, some applied notions, such as New City and New Civilianizing creeds, are dissertated. The relative instances, such as rebuilding project about Kuanzhai alley in Chengdu and Takmichi Ito's Sculpture in Japan are analyzed. During studying, it is researched by applying academic achievement of metropolis sociology, consumption culture, Art, design semeiology, production semasiology, ecoaesthetics and ecotourism etc. Try to provide more complete design approach for new subject: landscape design.As application design study, through detail design of North Lake Park in Chengdu, a series of design works are carried out: in plane function subarea, landscape programming framework of a stream of green ones in the park is raised, including 12 sight spots, 6 scenic spots, 3 thresholds, 15 characteristic forest belts; In landscape construction, architecture styles of Hakka in Dongshan region in Chengdu and traditional building in the west of Sichuan are established, because of broad scale research of environment about the park; In plant scheme, ecological community with pastoral color is established; Waterscape, environmental statues and frescos are organized in landscape design. To sum up, more diversity is pursued to promote to form characters of landscape Art, to represent the spirit of spot.
