Buddism culture has a intimate relationship with ancient Chinese novel. The thesis analyze the mutual relationship between Buddism culture and the imitative works of Huaben of Ming DynastySince Buddism spread into China, it mix together with Chinese culture, then was assimilated by Chinese culture. Buddism experienced refulgence of tang dynasty, and had a tendency for vulgarization in Song-Yuan dynasty. Vulgarization became the notable character in Buddism culture of Ming dynasty.Vulgarized buddism in Ming dynasty had an important influence in the imitative works of Huaben of later Ming dynasty. The thesis will analyze the viewpoint from four aspect: theme expression, stress the influence that the mixture of traditional destiny view and karma make on theme of works; story style, continue to use the former dynasty's story style, but make a great change in content, eliminate the philosophic meaning; plot and structure, Buddism content push forwards the development of story plot, meanwhile make the story a stability structure; figure portray, draft script forstory-telling portray many monk image, the disposition of monks who have positive image is similar and vague, but the monks who have negative image have the vivid personality.At the end, the thesis analyze the advance effect that the imitative works of Huaben of later Ming dynasty make on process of Buddism vulgarization. Author pass on the Buddism view by the imitative works of Huaben, the view of karma,heil,repent have constituted the whole understanding that common people for buddism. Meanwhile, the imitative works of Huaben show out the disgusting monks and farce of Buddhism, dispelling the holy and philosophy of Buddhism.
