About Vague Language's Function And Its Expression On Daily Applied Writing

An exact expressing of application depends on both in exact language and vague language. Exactness is absolute while vagueness is relative, they contradict or supplement each other in the writing of application. The pragmatical function of vague language in daily application represents the following aspects: elasticity, circumbendibus, politeness, and the self-protection. This article analyzes the reasons which exists in the application and actuality and the necessaries on the base of introducing the essence and characters of vague language. This article gives an explanation of the positive function of vague language in everyday application writing. It discussed the representation and avoidance of negative influence. Additionally, the thesis introduced the usage of vague expression and limitation to reach the correct expressions through these two kinds of means. The aim of this article is to remove the wrong concept of vague language in daily practical english. It points out that necessity and rationality of vague language. This article also introduced the special language functions and correct using ways, which promotes writing main parts, avoiding writing no-no, chooses writing strategies, realizes self-protection of writing main parts, guarantees social activities go smoothly, which are in order to get the best social effects.
