| Fujian ci poetry was prosperous in the Song Dynasty, but it wasn't taken great attention to. Chen Qing-yuan had introduced the general characteristics and analyzed the important poets'artistic style of Fujian ci poetry in his book The History of Fujian literature. Liu Qing-yun's papers——A Survey of the Circles of Creation in the North of Fujian Province in Sone Dynasty and A Probe into the Field of Ci in Minnan in Song Dynasty——focused on the group of Fujian ci poets. The other researchers except Chen and Liu took great attention to the important poets, such as Liu Yong, Zhang Yuan-gan, and Liu Ke-zhuang and so on, and the other poets were ignored. The paper research the group of Fujian ci poets from three angles——geography,culture and folk.Chapter 1 is about the geographical characteristics of Fujian ci poetry in Song Dynasty. Great number of northerners moved to Fujian province when the Northern Song Dynasty was over, and they promoted growth of Fujian local culture .As the Southern Song Dynasty founded the capital in Hang Zhou which was near Fujian province, the poets in Fujian got more opportunities for communication. As a result, the quantity of Fujian ci poets increased sharply in the Southern Song Dynasty. Due to the different geographic conditions, the regions in Fujian had different opportunities on economy and education, and the number of poets wasn't equable.Chapter 2 is about the cultural characteristics of Fujian ci poetry in Song Dynasty. Neo-Confucianism in the Song Dynasty, especially in Southern Song Dynasty, had a great influence on ci poems in Fujian. Neo-Confucians were all patriots, and they affected lots of Fujian poets to write patriotic ci poems .There were some literary families in Fujian .All of them paid attention to family education and brought up many ci poets.Chapter 3 is about the folk-custom characteristics of Fujian ci poetry in Song Dynasty. The customs, including festival and birthday-congratulating ,are an important part of folk culture. The folk cultural phenomenon is a subject of the ci poems. The ci poems written by the Fujian poets showed the special folk culture in Fujian. |
