Chi Zijian is among the unique group of Northeastern writers, who started her literary creation in 1983. The works that she has completed over the past 20 years contain persistent geographical atmosphere of rural areas. Seen from the village theme, her works are also recognized for the value of environmental and cultural thinking. Her special concern about humanity and the special group of people and her rational attitude, which are extraordinary among the contemporary women writers, have attracted a lot of readers and literary critics as well.This article explores the geographical culture of the north east of China in Chi Zhijian's works attempting to interpret the unique characteristics and literary value of those works. Chi Zijian is deeply subject to geographical and cultural influence. She has forged a relationship between the dark land and its culture in her works. Chi Zijian's works always contains a strong geographical hometown atmosphere. With her unique artistic temperament, the pursuit of artistic taste and aesthetics, she creates a strong regional culture with characteristics of the Chi Zijian's aesthetic character. Geographical culture increases the sense of beauty and individuality to Chi Zijian's works; it also formed a unique regional visual artistic perspective of Chi Zijian.
