There exists a long history of extradition in Hittite Kingdom, and the records of extradition in Hittite texts are abundant. This thesis attempts to make a comprehensive study of the extradition between Hittite and other political communities which include Anatolia, northern and middle Syria, Mesopotamia, and Egypt. The thesis consists of five parts.The first part includes an introduction to the purpose of this thesis, a review of previous researches, and the definition of the term"Extradition"in Hittite sources.Chapter I analyses the relevant terms of extradition in Hittite texts, and then classifies the records of extradition in Hittite sources.Chapter II examines the earliest record of extradition based on Hittite texts, combs through and investigates reasons for the emergence and evolution of the extradition in Hittite kingdom.Chapter III evaluates the historical significance of the extradition in Hittite kingdom.The final part concludes my major arguments of the thesis.
