In the recent several decades, in Egyptological field discussions on the economics duringthe New Kingdom, especially the trade, have become more and more hot. In the internationalEgyptological field there are numerous discussions about this subject. However, most of themare on some aspects of trade, and the book which discussed fully the trade during the NewKingdom has not yet been published. Meanwhile Chinese scholars just begin to do researchon the subject. Thus this thesis will discuss fully the trade during the New Kingdom by itspattern, its content and its influence on Egyptian civilizations. As an empire, Egypt conquered a vast territory stretching from the Fourth Cataract of theNile in the Sudan and to the Euphrates in Syria during the New Kingdom, which was at theheight of power and splendor period with steady politics and flourishing economy. On aspect of the civil trade, Iwill discuss the Egyptian ideology of economy and the Egyptian regulation of economy. Andon these grounds went the pattern and content of the trade. On the aspect of the trade withdependency, I will discuss the basic situation about the trade between Egypt and dependency, and the special pattern: plundering booty and imposing. On the aspect of the trade with theNear East and the civilizations in Mediterranean, I will discuss the basis situation andcontents of the trade. On the basis of the discussion about the trade in the New Kingdom, I would draw aconclusion that the trade has the power influencing politics, military affairs, economy andculture.
