A Research Of Wei Liaoweng's Poetry

Wei Liaoweng is a famous ideologist, educationalist, litterateur etc in Southern Song Dynasty. He is also the savant of the Shu literature in Song Dynasty. He has an important social status in the educational history and bashu cultrural history. Wei Liaoweng is a productive writer through his whole life. His poems amount to seven hundred pieces, which are included in heshanxiansheng daquan wenji in one hundred and ten volume. So, it's very meaningful and necessary for us to investigate his literature activity. The major idea of this essay is to get to know the living state of that time , the literatural development and society of the Southern Song Dynasty reflected from his poems in a relative wide historic backdrop, at the same time to expatiate how the lixue ideology of the late south song dyanasry influenced the theory of Wei Liaoweng's poems.The essay is mainly around this key idea. The book is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is a simple glimpse into the investigation of Wei Liaoweng. The second chapter mainly talks about the ideology of Wei Liaoweng, especially about the understanding of the essence of poems for Wei Laioweng., which includes the meaning of essence of poems, the method to get to the essence , the source of his comment on poems and the moulding of his ideology. The third chapter mainly centralizes on the metal journey. Then from the aspects of history and sociology ,this chapter investigates his poems that express emotion in the hope to reveal his unique method. The forth part is mainly on his lixue poems. As an outstanding savant of that dynasty, Wei Liaoweng's lixue poems reflect the charaters of that period , which is to express one's ambition through poems, to attach importance to the educational ability of poems. His lixue poems inheritate the poem style from Northern Song Dynasty. The fifth part expatiates the producing environment of his birthday poems from the aspect of cultrue in order to reveal the birthday tradition and the influence of poems to the society.Firstly this essay clearly describes Wei Liaoweng the litterateur on the facts of his activities and the comments on him from other people in the same dynasty. Then, this paper directly investigates Wei Liaoweng's poems ideology, avoiding the large amount of explainations ,comments on him in many dynasties. Thirdly, through the investigation of the first two aspects, the aim is to expatiate Wei Liaoweng's poems.
