This paper studies the initial consonants of Cantonese, Min and Kejia dialects of Zhongshan. By comparing and analysing the initial consonants of these three dialects, we try to ascertain the present state of the mutual influence and infiltration among these three dialects in Zhongshan city.There are eight parts in all. Chapter 1 gives an introduction to the situation of Zhongshan, including the formation, the distribution and the use of it's dialects. The methodology and the source of the material in this paper are also introduced in this part. Chapter2 compares and analyses the ancient voiced initial consonants of Cantonese, Min and Kejia dialects of Zhongshan. Chapter3 compares and analyses the Zhi group initial consonants of Cantonese, Min and Kejia dialects of Zhongshan. Chapter4 compares and analyses the Bang group initial consonants of Cantonese, Min and Kejia dialects of Zhongshan. Chapter5 compares and analyses the Jian group initial consonants of Cantonese, Min and Kejia dialects of Zhongshan. Chapter6 compares and analyses the Xiao group initial consonants of Cantonese, Min and Kejia dialects of Zhongshan. Chapter7 compares and analyses the Ni group initial consonants of Cantonese, Min and Kejia dialects of Zhongshan. Chapter8 gives a conclusion of present state of the mutual influence and infiltration among these three dialects in Zhongshan city.
