A Study Of The Systematic Evolution Pattern Of The Graphics In The Visual Communication Design

Graphics is the fundamental expression language of Visual Communication Design. The systematic evolution of the graphics is in the purpose of describing graphics, in the presence of the systematic way, and possesses visible sensation with evolution characteristic. The graphics in question has characters like ordered integration, self-assembling, derivation, differentiation, continuity, etc.The systematic evolution of the graphics ran throughout the history of mankind civilization, making the information widely spread, transmitted and extended. The meaning of evolution is in fact to make the species have long lasting existence capability. Therefore, from the viewpoint of nature evolution, the systematic evolution of the graphics is significantly important to the constancy and validity of information transmission.As the information age comes, the systematic evolution of the graphics acquires larger share of attention in the Visual Communication Design. The current visual communication is no longer point-to-point information transmission, since the separated and scattered graphical language is insufficient to complete the task of visual communication for the complex and huge information flow. Therefore, the systematic evolution of the graphics will be more and more important in current visual communication. In addition, systematized graphics possesses a merit which can strength the succession and consistency of visual recognition, which can constantly stimulate the vision of human being, leaving impressive memories to the human brain and producing optimal effect to the visual communication. Therefore, establishing a graphics system with perfect union of visual relation and information structure will make visual communication more efficient and more accurate. This thesis devoted to study the systematic evolution pattern of the graphics, inthe purpose of understanding the formulation procedure of systematized graphics. The author also tried to discover the evolution discipline behind the prominently emerged graphics, and she believes that this study will contribute to the systematic visualization of the Visual Communication Design.In the first part, the author explains the concepts and definitions related to the systematic evolution, and demonstrate the inevitability of the graphics systematic evolution. Afterwards, the author focuses on the description of how the graphics evolving systematically, including following three aspects, 1) seeking the systematic evolution of the graphics through the history of modern art and design; 2) describes in detail how to establish graphical system, and how the system evolves; 3) summarize the discipline and procedure of system evolution. In the final part, the author conveys the significance of the systematic evolution in the Visual Communication Design, and looks forward to the future trend of the systematic evolution.
