The English full name of VIS is Visual Identity System. Through its tangible and concrete symbol of visual communication, the invisible mind of corporate will be transmitted to the public to build corporate image. In the CI design system, the visual identity design is the part of dissemination strength and power that is the most external and direct. VI design spreads the basic essential factor of logo effectively according to the force policy and the management system to form the enterprise visual image. The spirit and management idea are transmitted to public by the uniform design of visual symbol .As well as the well-known product and corporate image can be effectively popularized. Therefore, Corporate Identity System is based on Visual Identity System to transport the basic spirit of CI and make the product name-brand. At the same time, it plays the direct role to advance the product to enter the market. VI design displays enterprise's management idea and the spiritual culture to form the unique enterprise image from the vision, and it itself also has the value of image. At present, people pay more attention to logo but lose sight of graphic in the research and design of VI. As a result there are many problems in the actualization of VI for the limitation on the cognition. This paper aims at making sure of the concept and category of graphic. Then we will make certain its status and function in the VIS to perfect the knowledge.The paper confirms the concept and category of graphic according to the research on the existing theory and makes certain the relation between graphic and logo by analysis of cases. Simultaneity the degree and quantity in the VI exertion are also established. At last it discusses the value and development trend of graphic.It shows that graphic as one of two graphic factors in Visual Identity System, which its function in the existing VIS has been changed. It can enhance adaptability among logo, typefaces and primary color and more expressive extent and deepness in visual communication to foster infiltration of corporate image.Graphic has its own principle and method in design. Its idiographic sculpt, color and style must obey the request of corporate image. For the future its development will incline to dynamic vision, patulous language in graphic and indigenous style. |
