The popularity of woodcut in Qing Dynasty created special historic importance,and reshape new history. Folk woodcut new-year prints were full of every corner of countries. Its ladder contacted thoughts and lives of common people. New-year prints growed among lives of common people,and used for decorating the spring festival. The abundant content and inornate modality were deeply loved by people. Woodcut new-year prints in Qing dynasty developed quickly. Especially artistic characteristic and aesthetic value is worth studing and discussing.This paper not chooses the difference in character modelling of folk woodcut new year prints in Qing dynasty,and analyse the influence from clime culture or other sides,but also compares the character modelling in north with southern place,in order to study the reason why there were so many artistic styles in same time. This paper emphasize the clime, humanism, custom, aesthetic tendency in Taohuawu,Mianzhu,Zhuxianzheng and Yangliuqing, and the influence from all these factors. At concrete of analysis process, from political, cultural, the region characteristic as well as the Western to exhibit the folk woodcut new-year prints arts in Qing Dynasty's historical vicissitude. Through studing the difference between content, the composition, the character and the background space, the color and the character modelling, in the Qing Dynasty North and South folk woodcut new year prints, keep on analyzesing the Qing Dynasty folk woodcut new year prints thoroughly, so as to excavates the vein of cultural developmen, then to study social spirit,the esthetic value, the esthetic tendency of woodcut new year prints, discusses mutual influence relations, between the Qing Dynasty folk woodcut new-year prints and other folk art. The formation of character modelling can not be separated from the whole, but isolates exists, the main humanities background such as geography, history, culture, custom and so on also influences character modelling custom subtly. At the same time, utilizes the region culture characteristic analysis method, pondered the reason why that the woodcut new year prints declines, proposed immediately how the contemporary print maintain the national characteristic inheritance.
