This paper first discussed the female fox's origins and imagery, founding that in the legends and literatures, the image of female fox's whose original image is maternity gradually changing to the image of feminine; By study of the relationship among fox , human, ghos and gods, in traditional Chinese culture, the fox have a special status -- similar to human, but closer to the ghosts and gods than human.
