A Study Of Special Usage Of Internet Language

Many people pay attention to the field of internet language which is newly widely researched. As for linguistics, a great number of papers and books appeared which explain internet language from different viewpoints. This thesis will discuss the usage of internet language systematically and thoroughly from the viewpoint of sociolinguistics based on research made before. This thesis argues internet language's forms, contents, and development, thereby it categorizes it and helps people understand its usual forms and special usage, meanwhile, it proposes suggestions considering some special usages harmful to language development, illustrating the importance of criterion. Nowadays, with the rapid development of internet, the internet language has more effect thus its criterion should be considered more. Chinese needs to be purified and developed healthily. With this purpose, the thesis makes research on this field.The paper is consists of five chapters, three parts. The first chapter, the first part as well, introduces the situation of internet language and its relations with internet culture; the second part including chapter two and three mainly discusses the special usage of internet language in terms of the internet dialogue language and cultural language; the third part including chapter four and five illustrate some negative influence internet language makes on Chinese as well as some resolutions. Considering the complexity of internet language, a couple of methods are adopted, such as dialectics, comparison analysis and instance analysis and so on..
