Collation, Annotation And Study Of Tang Geng's Works

Tang Geng, a famous poet in late Song Dynasty, was another excellent litterateur after Su family in Sichuan and was called "Su Dongpo second ". Although he was not the student of Su family, his thoughts were deeply influenced by Su dongpo, and his works of literature were learned from Su intentionally. Nevertheless, he had developed his unique delicate style. His works of prose,known for succinctness and deliberation were considered to be the apotheosis by the students and had a wide influence. Tang Geng was not only a famous author of Sichuan in late Song Dynasty, but also in the whole country and whole Song Dynasty. The achievement of Tang Geng, however, was not paid enough attention by studiers and there is no publication about the study on Tang Geng till now. "Su Dongpo second " had been excluded from the history of literature for a long time.This thesis is divided into three parts. The first part is the introduction.In this part, the author has made a rough inquiry about tang geng's life ideal. In addition, a detailed analysis of spreading fo his works has been made. The second part is the Advocacy of literature. Include studying Tang Geng's conception, concreting advocacy of works of literature and opening out his main principles. Works of poetry: Study Tang Geng' poems and analyze the artic characteristic and achievement. Analyze the artic characteristic and achievement of Tang Geng's works of prose. The third part is the collation and annotation of his works(poems and articles),which is an important part in this paper. Because it interprets the meaning of the words or sentences that cannot be understood easily. It is hoped that the source of the allusion in Tang Geng's works can be indicated by the annotation, so that the readers can get more detailed information about xie tang geng's life and works.
