A Study Of Disyllabic Words Of The Same Morpheme And Formation Of Reverted Order In Modern Chinese

Disyllabic words of the same morpheme and formation of reverted order in modern Chinese refer to two-syllable compound words that have the same morpheme, have formation of reverted order and arise in pairs in the vocabulary of modern Chinese. These words have a long history and have developed variously in different periods. They have enriched the vocabulary of Chinese and their flexible free structure make Chinese rhetoric more vivid, accurate and expressive. Based on the work of former researcher, this essay did a systematic and comprehensive research on disyllabic words of the same morpheme and formation of reverted order in modern Chinese in modern Chinese. We expressed our ideas on same disputable questions, such as the rationality of"zheng-pian"pattern in words of the same morpheme and formation of reverted order, and how to define words of the same morpheme and formation of reverted order.There are four chapters. In chapter one introduction, first, we analyzed recent studies of words of the same morpheme and formation of reverted order. Then, we defined words of the same morpheme and formation of reverted order. Finally, we summarized the research methods and scope of this essay.Chapter two is about contributing factors of disyllabic words of the same morpheme and formation of reverted order in modern Chinese. In five aspects: ancient Chinese, dialect, rules of word formation, movement of Baihua and rhyme of poetry, we discussed the arising of disyllabic words of the same morpheme and formation of reverted order in modern Chinese, and tentatively inquired into the influence on the existence and lost of words of the same morpheme and formation of reverted order by word tone and coda.Chapter three is about the function and standard of disyllabic words of the same morpheme and formation of reverted order. It was mainly discussed the rhetorical function and standard use of words of the same morpheme and formation of reverted order.This essay analyzed disyllabic words of the same morpheme and formation of reverted order quite completely and deeply. The creative points lie in:(1) Defined disyllabic words of the same morpheme and formation of reverted order in modern Chinese comprehensively; (2) Explored the existence-and-lost phenomenon of disyllabic words of the same morpheme and formation of reverted order, in modern Chinese in tone and coda directions.
