From The Inspection On Language To The Criticism On Philosophy

As the founder of two schools of analytic philosophy--one is logicalpositivism , the other is ordinary language philosophy , Wittgenstein affected deeply the development of not only philosophy but also logic. The effects don't vanish still now. The logic thought is very important in the abundant thought of Wittgenstein, especially early Wittgenstein, it becomes the base of his whole philosophy theory. At the same time, we know Wittgenstein is not only the philosopher who changed the direction of philosophy but also the pioneer who analysed the philosophy by means of the mathematic logic and writed the first special book on philosophy of logic. The many viewpoints in Tractatus Logico-philosophicus have become the subjects of philosophy of logic. So, the study on logic thought of Wittgenstein, especially early Wittgenstein is very important to philosophy, to logic, and especially to the field of philosophy of logic which is not ripe still now.The thesis is a try to explore the logic thought in early Wittgenstein's philosophy from the point of view of philosophy of logic, focusing on the analytical reading of Tractatus Logico-philosophicus, analysing deeply the basic problems about logic and philosophy that Wittgenstein discussed in the book, inspecting the points of view in argument, the grounds of argument and the process of argumentation in the book, showing the thread of logic thought in early Wittgenstein's philosophy. As well as the thesis indicates that Wittgenstein's logic is not fabricated by himself, on the country, is the inevitable outcome from his theoretical analysis. Wittgenstein showed the instructive function of logic in many fields completely and strictly, and his system of logic thought is complete and strict too by the analysis on world, fact, picture, thought, proposition and so on and by means of mathematic. The thesis sorts out the system of Wittgenstein's logic thought which consists of the ontology of logic, the epistemology of logic and the linguistics of logic tentatively from the views of ontology, epistemology, and linguistics. In the system, logic is the link and base of the reality world, the picture world, and linguistic world. From the point of view of Wittgenstein, logical form, logical picture, truth function which separately unite the reality world, the picture world, and the linguistic world is separately logic of the reality world, the picture world, and the linguistic world. Three kinds of logic are the same in fact which is the depiction and refection of a certain structure separately from the different point of views of ontology, epistemology and linguistics. Logic is essentially the possibility of a certain structure (including the structure of fact, the structure of picture and the structure of proposition) which is the essence of all things. Namely logic is the essence of all things.The thesis analyses and summarizes the base of logic of Wittgenstein's the inspection on language and the criticism on philosophy, pointing out, in a sense, philosophy and logic are the same one in the visual field of Wittgenstein. At the same time, the thesis emphasizes the basic function of logic in the early Wittgenstein's philosophy, as well as the important function and the unique viewpoint in the whole study of philosophy.
