Proverb is a short standard statement, having on evident or implied general meaning, related to a certain typical field of general human conditions, attitudes or actions, where it is valid with implied limitations. It is known and often quoted in a period of time in a certain language community, sometimes in a short form (the rest being implied). In common knowledge it has no known author or literary source. It sums up the experience of the mental and material civilization created by our human beings and always reflects the profound logics. As a common system about the worldview, the linguistic world panorama securely attaches on the layers of lexicon, grammar and maxim. This paper, based on the proverbs in English and Chinese, involves three cultural concepts, "Silkworm", Religious Culture and Marine Culture. The proverb in each nation is the most simple and recognizable language unit. The proverbs in different language express their differences in deep cultural structures. Therefore, this paper could also be considered as a comparing analysis of the deep structure of culture.
