The Study Of Chinese Farmer's Proverb

Farmer's proverb is one of the large categories of proverbs. A simple analysis is given in this paper,which is about the origins and content of farmer's proverb on the basis of defining the nature and characteristic of proverbs.This paper mainly studies on farmer's proverb'structure, semantic meaning , pragmatics and culture,which attempt to reveal farmer's proverb' linguistic meaning.Anatomically ,from the macro point of view, the farmer's proverb is basically constructed by a sentence of two or more clauses or constrictive sentence. and the way of relationship in the sentences is on its meaning.According to analysis, this is the"Economy Principle"and The"moderate Principle"using by it in sentence constructed. In microcosmic view,the structural features within in a sentence mainly display in following four aspects:structure omitted, structure ancient grammaticalization, structure thumbnailization and Metonymization. The farmer's proverb has abundant rhetorical ways which mainly contains metaphor, comparison, antithesis, personification, tortuous, exaggeration, antonomasia, reduplication..Vocabulary rhetoric have various content.The main performance of its content is following five aspects: spoken style, coloring image, antisense to use, simpler structure and rhyming.Pragmatic evolution is mainly reflected in diachronic evolution, synchronic evolution, the demised of the old farmer's proverb and producing new farmer's proverb.Culturally, view from the perspective of physical forms, its content is mainly reflected in four production modes ,that is crop farming, livestock farming, forestry and fruit industry, fishery industry.At the view from spiritual level,its main content is embodied in light to farming,and scorn commerce, lockstep, industry and thrift , unity and cooperation, suffering well, being content, complying with the law,maintaining natural.
