| Although globalization has made the world seem smaller and'flat'in many ways(Friedman,2005), increasing culture diversity creates challengers for individuals and organizations, making the world'not so flat'after all. For instance, a sizeable body of research demonstrates the challenges of culture diversity for multicultural domestic work team, multinational work teams, global leaders and those in overseas work assignments. Relatively, little research, however, focuses on factors that could improve intercultural encounters. In particular, research on individual capabilities for inter cultural effectiveness is sparse and unsystematic, leaving and important gap in our understanding of why some individuals are more effective than others in culturally diverse situation (Ang, 2007).Based on Culture Intelligence (CQ) theorizing, it studies the relationship between CQ , acculturation, subject well-being, and CQ affect on culture priming. It not only used scale, but also did the experiment to validate the Hypothesis. There are three researches:Study 1: To validate the effects of Culture Intelligence, the research was done in 752 samples, then multi-regression was used to analyze the data, we find the language and cross culture experience can effect individual CQ.Study2: The research was done in 340 samples who has the cross culture experience, MANOVA and Classification was used to analysis the data. It is found that CQ effect the acculturation and can classify different acculturation type. Also SEM was used to analyze the data, it was found that CQ and acculturation can effect subject well-being.Study3: The experiment was implimented to study the effect of CQ. Through the culture priming experiment in Chinese culture and Korea Culture, it was found that CQ will influence individual's culture identity. The individual with high CQ will have no difference in Heritage culture identity, while individual with low CQ will have difference in Mainstream culture identity. |
