The Study Of Phonology About Nanyang Dialect Of Xiaoshan

Nanyang dialect,located in the south part of Xiaoshan area,is one dialect dot of Xiaoshan dialect,which belongs to Taihu group,part of the larger set of Wu dialects.Its phonological characteristic differs from Chengxiangzhen dialect which presents Xiaoshan dialect,besides they also have in commom with each other.Why?Because Nanyang(南阳)originally belonged to Haining(海宁)till 1816.After more than one hundred years,Nanyang dialect still has similar places with Haining dialect.Meanwhile,there are more researches on Xiaoshan dialect(Chengxiangzhen dialect),and less attention on the subparts,let along a systemic survey.So the present thesis is a comprehensive description and analysis of the phonology about Nanyang dialect,including initials,finals and tones.At the same time,the thesis also explains the contemporary correspondence between Chengxiangzhen dialect and Haining dialect.Also,it descrips the correspondence with the Middle Chinese(中古音)in considerable detail.The aim is to find the evolvement characteristic of migration,and moreover,to enrich the data of Xiaoshan dialect,which will help people go further on it.At last,attach a homophony table.
