There are some differences between Business English and common English in the aspect of vocabulary. Business English vocabulary has its own characteristics, for example, the use of technical terms, abbreviations and archaism etc. In Business English vocabulary, there exist a large number of compounds. Compound adjectives play a crucial role in English language, which reflects changes in language reality and expands functions of language. So there is much value in theory in the study of Business English compound adjectives.From the viewpoint of practical applicability, based on the theories of lexical morphology, this thesis tries to use the methods of induction and analytics to study compound adjectives in Business English, to explore the basic regular patterns of their morphological structures and semantics. In addition, there are some practical values in the study of compound adjectives in Business English. Based on the characteristics of English word-acquisition of Chinese students, the thesis tries to explore some inspirations to the teaching of compound adjectives in Business English.
