It is one of the archaeological methods of phonology that the study of ancient rhyme classifications in poems using ancient Chinese poems. From the use of materials of the verse, it is studied more in Song and Yuan Dynasties than the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and types of poems, Ci and melodies are more than that of Fu, folk songs and popular melodies. The categories of Ci and melodies are more than that of poems at the phase of Song and Yuan dynasties. Viewing from the use methods, the methods of the traditional arithmetic statistics are more than the new mathematical statistics, connecting with the distribution of Rhymes. This paper chooses Weizhen Yang, Mian Wang, Xian Zhang and Gong Tang etc, poets in Shaoxing Road in Yuan Dynasty, as the subject of study, tries to inspect their phonetic system of the poetry using the methods of connecting, inducting and arithmetic statistics, and provides materials for outlining the history of the development of phonetic system during Yuan Dynasty.Through studying the investigation and analysis on 1007 rhyme segments of the poems written by seven poets, the paper holds that:1,The system of their phonetic rhymes is similar to the rhymes of the common languages of"Pingshuiyun"in Song Dynasty and Yuan Dynasty. So we summarize 30 rhymes,Yinshengyun 13:Ge,Ma,Yu,Yu,Zhi,Wei,Qi,Jia,Hui,You,Xiao,Yao,Hao.Yangshengyun17:Qin,Tan,Yan,Xian,Zhen,Wen,Han,Shan,Xian,Yuan,Geng,Qing,Zheng,Jiang,Yang,Dong,Dong.2,There are a lot of "lend"and"out"rhymes in the peoms of seven poets,reflect the phonetics of Yuan Dynasty and dialect of Wu.Through studying the investigation and analysis on 3320 rhyme segments of the 1500 archaic poems written by seven poets, the paper holds that:1,On the whole, the system of their phonetic rhymes is similar to the rhymes of the common languages of 18 classes in the poems in Song Dynasty. It inherits and develops some characteristics of the evolvement of the common languages, such as: glottis and vowels, and velars of Yuan rhyme were classified into Xian Xian category, labiodentals of Yuan rhyme were classified into Han Shan category; partly labials of You Hou rhyme were classified into Yu Mo Category; rhyming of Ru Sheng into Yin Sheng and the weakening of rhyming ending; combination of some Yang Sheng Yun ending and so on.2,The poetic rhymes of the seven poets show a lot of characteristics of Zhejiang dialect. It shows occasionally cross rhyming. Yin Sheng rhyme: the rhyming of the class of Ge Ge and the class of Jia Ma; the rhyming of the class of Ge Ge and the class of Yu Mo; the rhyming of the class of Xiao Hao and the class of You Hou; the rhyming of the class of Xiao Hao and the class of Yu Mo; the rhyming of the class of Jie Lai and the class of Zhi Wei; the rhyming of the class of Jie Lai and the class of Jia Ma; the rhyming of the class of Zhi Wei and the class of Yu Mo. Yang Sheng rhyme: the rhyming of the class of Geng Qing and the class of Zhen Wen, Qin Xun; the rhyming of the class of Jian Lian and the Han Xian; the rhyming of the class of Dong Zhong and the class of Yang Tang. Ru Sheng rhyme: the rhyming of the class of De Zhi and the class of Wu Zhu; the rhyming of the class of Wu Zhu and the class of Duo Jue; the rhyming of the class of De Zhi and the class of Duo Jue.3,By comparison, it is found that the four classes of Ru Sheng rhyme, basically, are in concord with the common languages in the Song Dynasty (four class of Song Ci rhyme). Although Yin Sheng rhyme and Yang Sheng rhyme are correspond to Song Ci rhyme, obviously there are still a tendency to group each category and its grouping is in concord with Ping Shui Yun. On the whole, on rhyme of archaic poems of Zhejiang poets in Yuan Dynasty are more conservative, such as, wei rhyme of Zhi Wei is independent of Zhi Zhi; the class of Xiao Hao can be grouped into Xiaoxiao, Yao, Hao; Jiang rhyme is close to the class of Dong Zhong than Yang Tang; and Yuan Hun Hen, ZhengDeng, Qing, and Zhe De, have the tendency of independence; and so on.4,The systems of the rhyme of archaic poems of Zhejiang poets in Yuan Dynasty– 18 classes, 31 groups, are between Song Ci rhyme and the traditional rhyme of poem. They differ from Song Ci rhyme in the poetic rhyme and Ci rhyme, and in the characteristics of Zhejiang dialect and the ways of study.
