Wei, Jin, Northern and Southern Dynasties are second important period after Eastern Han Dynasty .During this period, the translation of Buddhist scriptures compared to the. Eastern Han Dynasty, both in the number of translation, or in the quality of translation , has made considerable progress and improve. The Chinese-translated Buddhist scriptures in Wei, Jin, Northern and Western Dynasties are not hard to understand, but lively. More attention is paid to the selection of word and modify, to make the interpretation of language and style in Buddhism is more close to the original Buddhist scriptures.This paper chooses the Chinese-translated Buddhist scripture in Wei, Jin, Northern and Western as the study object .To be from the perspective of literature, and use of the method of narrative. The emphasis of study is Jataka and Nidana .The aim is to identify summarize the common narrative characteristics and laws.The full paper is divided into six part:Foreword: mainly introduces the general situation of translation of Buddhist scriptures in Wei, Jin, Northern and Western Dynasties; The study actuality of the Chinese-translated Buddhist scripture; Analyses the connotation about literature of the Chinese-translated Buddhist scriptures; And review the development of narratology between China and Western countries. These establish the theoretical basis of this paper. Chapter1: mainly explain the reasons and the process of formation Jataka and Nidana .The emergence of they are closely related to the conception of metempsychosis and comeuppance in ancient India society. On the basis of absorption of the ancient religious belief, Buddhism developed their own conception of metempsychosis and comeuppance. The form of Jataka and Nidana are influenced by this conception .So they have certain commonality in mode of thinking.Chapter2: mainly analyses the narrative perspectives of Jataka and Nidana. Based on perspective of Buddha as the reference point, which is divided into omniscient perspective, the first-person perspective and character witnesses perspective, as well as the combination of different perspectives and conversion.Chapter3: mainly analyses the space time of Jataka and Nidana. As Jataka and Nidana are fictional creation, so the shadowy space time, time distortion and deformation is a very common phenomenon. The Buddhist scriptures use the flashback, pre-narration, and other means to enhance the narrative for the story of suspense and also strengthened the supernatural color of the Buddhist scriptures.Chapter4: mainly analyses the narrative structure of Jataka and Nidana. The narrative structure includes two aspects: deep structure composed by the thinking of karma and reincarnation (idea of structure) and surface structure appeared as grape structure of de-mixing narrative (technology of structure).Epilogue: summarizes the narrative characteristic of Jataka and Nidana. At the same time, the paper also point out other two important kinds of narrative literatures in the Chinese-translated Buddhist scriptures in Wei, Jin, Northern and Western Dynasties : the biography about Buddha and the metaphor. These four kinds of literature of Chinese-translated Buddhist scriptures have the common narrative logic.
