With the advent of knowledge economy and the rapid development in science and technology, the state's requirement for higher education is becoming demanding and the intensity of support is also growing, thus creating unprecedented opportunities for the development of higher vocational education, which calls for higher vocational education accelerating its development, and conforming to the historical trend and constant innovation reform of the old mode of instruction, teaching methods and teaching concepts, and improving continuously. The arrival of the information age led to the tremendous change in modern education. People exchange ideas,learning via internet ,which has changed the traditional transmission of information and learning and teaching methods. The information age has injected new vigor and vitality into Education,but also for education has had a profound impact for education, as well as a higher demand.Three-dimensional teaching in vocational colleges is a new mode of instruction, using this mode of instruction, can change the traditional teaching methods making teachers,teaching materials and the class as the center, and fundamentally change the relationship between education and life, school and society and the relationship between teachers and students to create a new kind of education system which is suitable for individuals, communities and our country and for the human being's future survival and the new requirements for the development of education. As a result, it can raise the overall quality of the people. This requires Vocational educators should be employment-oriented and deepen Vocational education reform, explore the development of higher vocational education ways under the new situation, grasp the key point, and optimize their majors'structure, educate the talents of higher vocational education who are in urgent need to meet the needs of the state and society. Innovation capability is the highest standards of talent evaluation in society, In order to help the students adapt to the era of knowledge economy and the development and competition and grow as a new era of personnel, we need to improve the quality of classroom teaching to enable students to gain the scientific method which can help continue to acquire knowledge and abilities and a good learning method, students can better exert their gifts.In this paper, I put emphasis on the research of the teaching reform of the teaching models concerning public courses, especially English in the Higher Vocational colleges and summed up the achievements and experience of English teaching and reform made by Vocational Colleges based on the current reforming situation,some related theoretical information and the research on the reforming of the public courses teaching models, discuss the current existing problems through analysis and study, proposed my own solutions and the viewpoints to these problems and the measures to promote vocational English teaching quality and further enhance the quality of teaching vocational English.
